What is floating processing?
It absorbs distortion caused by thermal expansion of the outer rotor.
When one disc becomes hot, the heat is transferred to the wheel. In
the case of floating, the heat is contained within the outer rotor, so it is blocked at the floating pin and does not reach the inner rotor or wheel. The floating part can absorb the expansion.
