Description
The projector-type HID headlight unit from the late R33 GT-R is no longer in production and used parts can easily cost over 1 million yen.
This headlight unit has been revived using the latest manufacturing techniques designed for LEDs, which have become mainstream in headlights.
A headlight unit that allows you to replace the later-model R33 GT-R headlights with LEDs
The H1-shaped high beam, which does not have any bright LEDs, has been changed to H11. It can be installed without any processing. Designed for the current mainstream LED, the ideal headlight unit has been born with the same appearance as the original. The details remain the same, but the molding technology and materials are 2023 specifications. The R33 GT-R is revived with a higher level of equipment.
Matsuda Tsugio x VELENO’s strongest tag team has made it happen!
Matsuda Tsugio is one of the R33 owners who is also an official sponsor of VELENO. There have been an increasing number of voices from R33 users saying, “I want to install the later-model headlights, but they are too expensive to buy,” and he was worried about what he could do, which was the trigger for this project. Matsuda’s red R33 GT-R was used as the development vehicle for the reproduction version. You can feel the beautiful uniformity of the clearance in every detail. Another advantage of the LED conversion is that it does not emit ultraviolet rays, so the headlight cover does not deteriorate from the inside. Reverse engineering is carried out in-house and precise data is created. By applying the latest equipment to the product, a highly accurate product is completed. The elbow line (step) that meets vehicle inspection standards is also clearly visible. Chamber tests have been completed and heat countermeasures are also perfect.
