However, pushing it hard on a track reveals the critical need for improved cooling—especially when it comes to engine oil temperature. Forge Motorsport’s oil cooler kit steps in here, offering a race-proven solution developed from expertise gained in BTCC and Mini Challenge racing.

This kit has been rigorously tested throughout an entire race season, and the lessons learned have been applied to enhance road-going versions for GR Yaris owners. The result is a significant reduction in oil temperatures both on and off the track, without sacrificing quality or reliability. The FMOC12 cooler features precisely positioned inlet and outlet ports to ensure optimal oil flow, avoiding common issues like cavitation that can damage the engine over time.

Installation is straightforward, thanks to custom laser-cut aluminum brackets designed to fit the GR Yaris crash bars perfectly. Unlike many competitors, Forge Motorsport’s design cleverly integrates the water cooler with the factory oil cooler, effectively doubling the engine oil cooling capacity. Included are two pre-assembled, high-quality AN-8 oil hoses, making this a complete bolt-on package.

Recognizing the challenges tuned cars face—especially under demanding track conditions or hot weather—this cooler addresses the problem of rising oil temperatures that can jeopardize engine lubrication and longevity. Positioned in front of the vehicle’s radiator grille, the cooler benefits from excellent airflow, delivering a notable drop in oil temperature. A built-in thermostat opens at 85°C, maintaining the ideal operating temperature for the engine and ensuring peak performance.
