Description
The ultimate multi-performer with a refined driving feel that offers the fun of being able to control it at will and the depth of adaptability from the circuit to winding roads.
- The HIPERMAX R is here, which can reduce the amount of roll even when driving on a circuit with high-grip tires.
- The front is equipped with a camber adjustment mechanism that can be adjusted up to about 4 degrees.
- The upper part of the engine room is located in a recessed location, but the camber can be adjusted from the tire house side.
- The rear damping force can be adjusted without removing the shock absorber.
- Tested with YOKOHAMA ADVAN A052 (265/35R18). The recommended damping dial for the Fuji Speedway racing course is 10 steps for the front and 13 steps for the rear.
- If you are concerned about understeer, adjust the rear in the toe-out direction to improve turning ability.
- *If you want to move the car more aggressively, adjust the preload to take more bump stroke.
- *If the front case length is set to 292 or less, the tire and fender may come into contact near the full stroke.
- While it is primarily designed for circuit racing, the HIPERMAX R can also be used on the street.

※1. The height from the road surface to the fender arches.
※2. The factory ride height is a reference measurement data based on a combination of full kit settings within HKS. (This is our recommended vehicle height.) )
※3. Adjustable range (However, please note that driving at the lower limit in this case is not compliant with safety standards.)
In addition, even within this adjustment range, depending on the vehicle height, there is a risk of interference with the body, arms, etc., which may interfere with driving.
Please note that defects such as damper oil leakage due to extremely low vehicle height from the vehicle height at the time of shipment are not covered by the warranty. )
※4. The drivable range without interference with the body, arms, etc. (However, this does not apply depending on changes in tire and wheel size, etc.)
Note: The data varies depending on individual differences in the vehicle and assembly conditions.

ADVAN A052 235/40R18 Tested at Fuji Speedway racing course.
The GR86 has very good running performance even in its original condition, but when high-grip tires are installed, there is a large amount of roll, making it unsatisfactory for circuit driving.
At HKS, we have respected the original character of the GR86, and even with high-grip tires installed, we have created a setting that allows you to enjoy the fun of controlling the car by allowing it to move like a stock FR model.
You can also check the behavior in track mode, so even circuit beginners can safely enjoy the behavior of FR.
This damper has a deep pocket that will satisfy both circuit beginners and advanced riders aiming for time. You can experience the change in the car’s behavior with just one notch, so I think you’ll be able to enjoy it for a long time with this one.
By actively utilizing the bump rubber that HKS has researched over many years, it also creates a feeling of firmness when cornering. You can obtain stable tire surface pressure without suddenly losing grip.
For users aiming for time on the circuit, the front should be full camber with a toe out of about 0.5-1.0mm, and the rear should have a toe of 0 to 0.5mm in. It is recommended that the dial has 5 to 10 steps in the front and back.
If you feel that the rear stability is lacking, we recommend installing an aftermarket arm that can adjust the rear camber.
