■Installed between the rear leaf spring and the housing. U-bolt genuine replacement

■Safety equipment such as driving assistance systems and collision avoidance systems of each automobile manufacturer may misrecognize or malfunction due to changes in vehicle height, such as radar, cameras, and sensors. Please note that we cannot take any responsibility for malfunctions of these systems due to changes in vehicle height caused by the installation of our lift-up (or low-down) suspension, or accidents caused by such malfunctions.

■If the change in vehicle height is within 40 mm, it is treated as a “minor change”, so no procedure is required for structural changes. However, if the vehicle height changes by 40 mm or more due to simultaneous installation of other products, structural change procedures may be required.

■The lift-up may not meet the immediate side visibility standard (Article 44, Paragraph 5 of the Safety Standards), and it may be necessary to add a forward visibility confirmation mechanism such as a front view camera.

■Depending on the individual differences of the vehicle, it may not meet the standard (height 550 mm) for the intrusion prevention device (in the case of the Hilux, the rear bumper applies). In that case, you will need to readjust the rear bumper position, or use the “JAOS Rear Bumper Down Bracket” to make the rear bumper height 550mm or less. If the vehicle height changes by 40mm or more when installed together with other products, a structural modification procedure may be required (this will be treated as a minor change to the structural device, and if the change in height is within 40mm, it will comply with the vehicle inspection standards).

■The Hilux is equipped with rear fog lights as standard, but lifting up the rear side may cause the rear fog lights to exceed the safety standards (upper edge 1m or less above the ground: Safety Standards Article 37-2). However, since rear fog lights are not required by the safety standards, you can physically cancel (remove) them by following the instructions included with the product to resolve the non-compliance with the safety standards.
