Titanium alloy (Ti6AL4V) forging
Ti6AL4V is an α-β alloy type material that has the highest demand among titanium alloys and is one of the most commonly used materials. It is used in structural materials such as engines and airframe parts in the aircraft industry, materials for chemical equipment, and medical materials, where titanium’s unique characteristics of being “light,” “strong,” and “no rust” are fully demonstrated. Titanium alloys with an α-β structure are also materials that have the characteristics of both α and β alloys. As alloying elements, Al is added to form an α alloy, and V is added to form a β alloy. The material is formed by cold forging, the voids inside the material are crushed, the crystals are made finer, and the direction of the crystals is adjusted to create a product with higher strength.
