The cooling effect of up to -19℃ by replacing with the genuine cover.

Like the GR Yaris, a cooling plate that provides a cooling effect has been specially designed for the GR Corolla, which suffers from the temperature rise in the engine compartment that is typical of turbo cars.
The GR Corolla takes in air from the front grill and sends it to the left and right ducts,
The duct on the LH side guides the air to the air cleaner, while the duct on the RH side has no outlet and blocks the wind, so by configuring it to flow to the turbine at the rear of the engine, it returns to the cooling effect.

1, Wind speed verification
A blower is installed in front of the vehicle with the engine hood closed.
Comparative verification using an anemometer was conducted at 5 locations from A to E in the engine room, with and without a cooling plate installed.

The distance from the blower to the vehicle was set to 1000 mm, and the tilt of the blower was set to 6 degrees.
The air volume of the blower is 202㎥/min
*Air volume is based on JIS C 9601.

Mainly measure the duct installation point [right-hand drive vehicle] (*left side of photo).

In the wind speed verification, all values for the genuine plate were “0”, indicating that the shape of the genuine plate is such that the wind does not enter from the duct (shape that blocks the wind). On the other hand, the COOLING PLATE has a shape that allows air to enter through ducts, so it has been proven that more air can be taken into the engine room.

2, Temperature verification
At the same measurement location as the wind speed verification, we started measuring from the same temperature as the genuine one,
The vehicle traveled a distance of 1.5km at 60km/h (4th gear fixed) and measured the temperature every 0.1km.
