What is a transfer?

It is installed at the rear of the engine and outputs the driving force from the transaxle differential case to the rear by changing the direction by 90 degrees.
In the 4WD system installed in the GR Corolla and GR Yaris, the driving force to the rear axle is controlled by an electronically controlled coupling installed in front of the rear differential.
It is a mechanism that constantly adjusts the driving force to achieve the ideal driving force distribution in each mode (NORMAL, GRAVEL, TRACK).

Description

Since the transfer oil temperature of the GR Corolla and GR Yaris tends to rise during continuous high-load driving on circuits, etc., a 2WD protection control (transfer protection control) is adopted to prevent the transfer oil temperature from becoming abnormally high.
The HKS TRANSFER OIL COOLER was developed to extend the life of transfer oil and protect transfers, focusing on the fact that the temperature of the transfer oil tends to rise.
For vehicles equipped with the Transfer Protection Control Cancel Program, it is possible to activate the cancellation program (cancel the 2WD conversion), and even if you drive continuously on the circuit, it will not become 2WD. The transfer protection control cancellation function is available on LHD vehicles from September 24 and on RHD vehicles from March 25.
The transfer protection control cancellation function does not apply to other vehicles.
The wiring and operation of the pump controller differ between vehicles equipped with the transfer protection control cancellation program and those with earlier models.
