1. Groundbreaking LTCS (Lock Timing Control System)
A spring is built into the pressure ring, constantly applying a load in the direction of closing the pressure ring (opening the pressure ring locks the differential). Therefore, as long as the set load is not exceeded (acceleration off, low load), the system functions identically to a stock open differential, providing smooth cornering performance. When the difference in drive torque between the left and right wheels exceeds the set value (spring rate) (acceleration on, high load), the pressure ring opens, locking the differential and transmitting engine torque evenly to both axles.
This function eliminates the “pushing” feeling of the friction plates typical of LSDs, allowing for smoother and quieter low-speed cornering. The transition from a stock open differential to a locked differential, and vice versa, is extremely smooth, making throttle control significantly easier. (Patented in Japan, the U.S., Taiwan, and Korea)

2. STSG (Splined Side Gear) large-capacity disc for 100% locking
The locking performance of a mechanical LSD is determined by the diameter and number of disc plates it contains. With the OS Super Lock LSD, we’ve succeeded in reducing the diameter of the built-in side gear and pinion gear using our proprietary manufacturing method while maintaining high strength. ・By using a spline-through side gear, we’ve been able to incorporate 1.5 to 2 times more discs than conventional products (our comparison, excluding some vehicle models), achieving 100% differential lock with ease. ・Without unnecessary slippage, there’s no unpleasant chattering noise typical of LSDs, and there’s no sound or impact when it’s fully locked. It’s so smooth that the driver doesn’t even notice when it locks. (Patented in Japan, the U.S., Taiwan, and South Korea)

Advantages of installing a Super Lock LSD
1. 100% locking eliminates heat generation from the LSD itself, friction plate wear, and initial loss, resulting in an incredibly long product life.
(Reference example: No performance degradation was observed after testing our long-distance test vehicle at 150,000 km.)
2. Even during endurance races or long periods of continuous sports driving, there is almost no decrease in locking rate or initial force due to heat sagging.
3. Snake movement is less likely to occur during drag starts. 100% locking also reduces damage to the drive shaft.
4. Changing to a high initial torque type will enable stable drifting.
5. The best settings can be tailored to the vehicle and driver. (SPEC-X)
6. It locks smoothly and without shock when accelerating, making it less likely for posture to change.
7. When exiting a corner, the brakes smoothly transition to full lock, providing high levels of driving stability and traction performance.
8. When the accelerator is released while entering a corner, the suspension instantly returns to its free position, reducing the risk of understeer.
(With a conventional LSD, when the accelerator is released, the pressure ring closes via the cone spring and friction plate, resulting in a time lag.)
