Ultra-high performance materials developed in the aerospace industry are processed with our own technology.

We use the latest ultra-high performance carbon fiber developed for next-generation aerospace technology. Compared to standard carbon, it has 50% more tensile strength and 30% more tensile modulus, and is used in next-generation aircraft that require excellent elasticity and strength. This very rare material is processed with a unique weaving process for curved molding, and then the surface is treated, and then processed into a special carbon prepreg with carefully selected resin. By processing a light and durable material, we have achieved even higher rigidity and weight reduction. The shell alone is 20% lighter than the PB-SNC used in the RX-7 RR5, and we have succeeded in reducing the product weight by around 150g.

In pursuit of even higher dimensions, we have developed an ideal dedicated liner for each size.

The hybrid liner provides ideal cushioning by integrally molding foams of different hardness. This technology, which is unique to Arai in the world, uses foams of different hardness suitable for the upper part, middle part, front part, and back part of the helmet according to the area where the impact is applied. The range of use is finely tuned based on the data of drop tests conducted using many helmets. Furthermore, for the RX-7 RC, the hybrid liner is finely adjusted for each size. By optimally setting it according to the size of each shell, we have achieved higher strength and lighter weight.

Carbon composite manufacturing method that brings together the technology cultivated in the development of F-1 helmets.

The helmet is made of carbon composite manufacturing method born from Arai’s unique cutting-edge technology. It is a strong helmet that was born by applying the lamination technology cultivated in F-1 and repeating numerous prototypes and improvements. Expensive special high-strength carbon fiber is carefully laminated using a special method and finished with long-term high-temperature and high-pressure processing. Special fibers with the highest tensile strength and tensile modulus among organic fibers are embedded between the carbon prepregs, and the outside and inside are reinforced with super fiber belts that were born during the development process of F-1 helmets. The RC helmet, designed with a low center of gravity that feels even lighter when worn, is a valuable helmet that requires a lot of time and effort, with even skilled craftsmen limiting production to one per day.

In addition to the standard shield, a Max Vision I (eye) shield (NEW), Pinlock sheet (clear), and a special bag for the RX-7 RC are included.
