(1) Spacer thickness
The thickness of the spacer increases the capacity of the surge tank, and the amount of air required for combustion increases, so the throttle valve opens when the accelerator is turned on, and the amount of air rushing into the engine increases, improving the accelerator pick.

Easy to understand is that when you squeeze the water hose with your finger, water comes out vigorously. The principle is the same. By narrowing the middle part a little, the pressure is increased and the air is vigorously sent into the engine.
