Developed for racing with driver changes. In races where driver changes are frequent, it is more accurate and efficient to flip up the steering wheel (tilt up) rather than attaching and detaching the steering wheel with a quick release. In order to meet this need, we have renewed the RAPFIX GTC, which had already been released in a form compatible with public road vehicles, as a competition-only part.
By pulling the large lever newly designed for the competition, the plug on the vehicle side and the socket on the steering wheel side tilt up. Equipped with a suspend function that stops at any angle and a hold function that eliminates the need to operate the lever again when tilting down.
When tilting down, just hold the steering wheel and tilt it down, and precision steel balls for ball bearings fit into the two dents engraved on the plug and the taper hole provided on the socket. It is fully connected by the force of the coil spring loaded on the sleeve arm.
Using the ball lock system established in the Rafix series, it realizes smooth hinge opening and closing and lock without shaking.
Eliminates rattling and wear problems. It greatly contributes to the driver’s severe steering wheel operation.
