Your valuable money is 100% safe with us. We require an advance payment of 10% to ensure the legitimacy and seriousness of our customers’ intentions when ordering directly from the factory or participating in auction bids.
Please note our policy regarding cancellations: a full refund will be issued if the order is canceled before a successful bid. However, cancellations made after a successful bid may incur costs such as penalties or reaction fees.

How to Import Used Vehicle from the Auction

Find a car on auction

The buyer finds a car on auction stock by subscribing to the paid service of the NINJA portal. The subscription fee is refunded upon purchase of the vehicle before expiration.

Buyer Open LC or Pay Balance

Easy Cars sends bidding confirmation to the customer, takes vehicles from the auction house to the shipping yard, arranges a pro forma invoice to open LC, or requests that the customer pay the balance.

Buyer set the bid amount

The customer sends a request for a preliminary bid before the live auction starts. Easy Cars can be provided with historical bidding data that can be used to decide the bidding price.

Easy Cars ship the car

Easy Cars sends photos of the vehicle in the port yard and works with the shipping company to get space for RORO or load the vehicle into a container and vanning for container shipping.

Buyer pay the advance

The buyer pays the deposit of 100,000 yen, or 10% of the bidding price, or 1,000,000 yen. Whichever is low. Your money is 100% safe, and a full refund is arranged on request before a successful bid.

Buyer receive documents

Easy Cars sends documents after the vehicle departs from the port. LC is suspended and documents are in PDF format, but the original document can be couriered if it’s a local regulation requirement.

Easy cars start bidding

Easy Cars bid on the car at the auction for an agreed price. Bidding is done online, and sometimes the final bid may be slightly over the buyer’s requested bidding price due to an internet delay.

Buyer clear car from port

The customer receives all documents before the vehicle reaches the port. The customer needs to work with a local clearing agent to clear the vehicle from local customs after paying tax.

  • Ocean Freight: This varies depending on the vehicle’s size. The quote can be provided on request.

For Example, if you purchase a 1 million yen vehicle from an auction, here is the breakdown of the cost to your port

  • Auction Car Price – 1,000,000 yen
  • Auction Fee – 20,000 yen
  • Transport fee to Yokohama port – 15,000 yen*1
  • Customs & Forwarding Charge at Japan Port – 25,000 yen
  • RO-RO Shipping fee – 200,000 yen*2
  • Our Fee – 95,000 yen
  • Total CIF – 1,355,000 yen

*1- The transport fee of the vehicle to the port depends on the distance from the auction house to the port. The auction houses are close to the port, except for a few.
*2 – RO-RO shipping rough estimate. It depends on the destination country, currency exchange rates, etc.

Please note that a deposit is required to start bidding. This deposit is 100% refundable if you do not make a successful bid, though bank charges may apply upon return. If you wish to cancel your purchase after successfully winning a bid, cancellation fees will be incurred.

FOB and CIF are the most two popular price terms of INCOTERMS, defined by ICC to harmonize the possible dispute of arising form the international trade practice.

FOB (Free On Board): Term of sale under which the price invoiced or quoted by a seller includes all charges up to placing the goods on board a ship at the port of departure specified by the buyer. Also called collect freight, freight collect, or freight forward

CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight): Term of sale signifying that the price invoiced or quoted by a seller includes insurance and all other charges up to the named port of destination. In comparison, carriage and insurance paid to (CIP) terms include insurance and all charges up to a named place in the country of destination (usually the buyer’s warehouse). See also cost and freight (C&F, or CFR). The difference between CIF and CFR is insurance during the transportation

The major difference between CIF and FOB is the transportation costs and insurance during it.

The maximum bidding price of the auction can be decided by looking at the vehicle’s historical sold price.
When you give us the vehicle model year and mileage, we send you the sold prices of similar vehicles in the auctions for the last few weeks or months.

We provide you with the screenshot of the successful bidding price.

This is something that happens rarely. When your request amount reaches the maximum bid, we reduce the bidding speed, but you keep bidding until the bid reaches your request amount. When many other bidders bid, the system will increase the price. These are human-to-human competitions over computers, so a few seconds of clicking difference matters. So, your maximum bid can go up + 10,000 ~ 20,000 yen. Similarly, you may also get lower than -10,000 ~ 20,000 yen.

When your request amount reaches the maximum bid, we reduce the bidding speed to make sure the bid does not go significantly over your request amount. When we slow down the bidding speed, sometimes the system selects another bidder’s bid as a maximum and ends the auction, even if we bid a higher amount. This is something that happens rarely, and it can happen for various reasons like internet latency, system delay, bid clicking delay, etc.

The Advance payment or deposit demonstrates your intention to purchase the car. The advance payment is fully refundable when the bid is unsuccessful.
Typically, buyers do not request a refund for every unsuccessful bid, as it incurs a bank fee. Instead, continue to try to increase the bidding fee within the budget and win the car

After you win the auction, we will pay the full price of the car and arrange for its delivery to the nearest seaport. We request payment of the balance within two weeks. A port yard storage fee will be charged if you take more than two weeks. The daily rate is 500 yen. To avoid any delays, we recommend paying you sooner so we can arrange shipping more quickly.

After payment confirmation or receipt of the LC, Easy Cars Japan will start the shipment process for your car. Easy Cars in Japan will dispatch the required documents through courier services. For non-LC buyers, the papers will be sent only after payment is received by our bank. The following documents are included. We can provide the other documents on a request basis if any are required.

The brand new vehicle from the dealers are registered in Japan. Exporter has to de register the vehicle before it
ship to you. Because of this regulation the brand new cars we export are already been registered in Japan but never used.

We need 10% downpayment from first time customer for every bid. This is security deposit to confirm that bidding request is genuine.

Yes. We know that customers may request a refund due to some unavoidable circumstances. In that case, we do our fullest cooperation. The advance payment is 100% refundable before place an order to the factory or a successful bid. In case the cancel after order completion to the factory or successful bid, we re-auction the vehicle and refund the advance payment after deducting the re-auction fee (If we can sell the vehicle in auction for higher prices or can find another buyer then we do not deduct auction fee from the customer). We don’t accept advance payment if the customer does not agree with this term & condition.

YES, You can finind the bidding price after you purchase from bidding auction. We give you fullest transparency to cost. We never ever charge any additional cost other than our auction agent fee. So, Your CIF price of auction vehicle is auction purchase price + our agent fee. For example, If you purchase Wagon R vehicle to Sri Lanka from auction for JPY 1,200,000 then your CIF price would be JPY 1,320,000 (JPY 1,200,000 + JPY 120,000). Our auction agent fee for Wagon R is JPY 120,000

Bidding Auction

The bidding auction will commence at a low price, increasing as participants place their bids on the vehicle. We would greatly appreciate it if customers could provide a down payment, along with their preliminary bids, one hour before the commencement of the live auction.
Our bidding will continue until the amount of the preliminary bids is met. Should the price exceed your bid, we will relinquish our position. If no other bids are submitted, you will be declared the winner.
Please note that cancellations are not permitted. Should a cancellation occur, a re-auction charge will be applied accordingly.

Fixed Price Auction

Please note that the seller predetermines the prices for each vehicle. The vehicle can be purchased at the displayed price; however, the auction houses do not accept price negotiation. Furthermore, a penalty charge will be applied to any cancellations.
We ask that customers submit their payments before Easy Cap proceeds with purchasing a vehicle from the fixed-price auction.
This advance payment is fully refundable until the point of purchase. If a customer wishes to cancel the order, we will re-auction the vehicle and refund the advance payment after deducting the re-auction fee.
