MONO6 Sports has evolved into a pipeless type
“MONO6 SPORTS TA” uses the latest processing technology to eliminate the outer pipe that serves as the flow path for brake fluid, preventing fluid leakage due to pipe breakage. In addition, weight reduction and stress balance have been improved compared to conventional products, and a further 12% increase in rigidity has been achieved. The caliper surface is 3D cut for effective heat dissipation, and the caliper has been completed for everything from dress-up to circuit driving.
About bedding
In order to bring out the original performance of the circuit-dedicated pad, which emphasizes high-temperature characteristics, it is essential to apply heat in advance before hard driving and apply the work called “bedding”. Bedding is always used in the top categories such as SUPER GT and WRC, as well as various races in Europe. Before using semi-metal brake pads, proper bedding is necessary to stabilize high-temperature performance and extend the life of pads and rotors.
[Bedding method]
When driving on a circuit with a new product, raise the rotor temperature to about 400-500°C while avoiding hard braking. After that, the temperature is lowered to 100°C or less by natural cooling, and the process is finished.
*Bedding in rainy weather may not bring out the original performance of the brake pad. Bedding should be done in fine weather whenever possible.
