Description
Smooth putting on and taking off without worrying about frequent putting on and taking off while touring etc.
A new form was developed in response to complaints that the frontage is narrow and difficult to put on and take off. Compared to previous models, the frontage has been expanded mainly around the mouth area. It is designed to be wider by 5mm in the front and 5mm on each side to make it easier to put on and take off. Even if you are a first-time Arai rider, you can wear it comfortably without worrying about the tightness of the frontage.
However, even though the frontage has been expanded, the excellent fit that Arai is known for when worn is maintained. This is a helmet that you can enjoy wearing without having to worry about taking it off and putting it on frequently when touring, etc., and you won’t get tired even for long periods of time.

Front Logo Duct
Arai’s first forehead ventilation system
Two holes with a diameter of 10 mm are provided, increasing the air intake volume by approximately 40% (50 km/h) compared to the XDF duct. While conventional front ducts often performed better when in a forward leaning position, it was designed to function in a well-balanced manner in both the up-handle position and racing position.
When drilling holes in the forehead, the distance between the holes should be at least 65mm, which is the internal standard, to ensure safety. Furthermore, by placing a super fiber belt on the front of the cap, it is possible to further improve comfort performance without spoiling the safety performance.

G flow duct
Compact yet large capacity air-in ventilation
A new simple and compact duct has been developed to emphasize the round and smooth form of Astro GX. Although small, the air intake volume is the same as conventional IC3 ducts and TDF ducts. To turn on/off, simply move the sliding cover back and forth. The design allows for reliable operation even while wearing gloves.

GT spoiler
Reduces fatigue during high-speed driving and also serves as air out ventilation.
A new concept spoiler based on the RX-7X racing spoiler, with the shape adjusted for touring use. This improves head stability and aerodynamics at high speeds, suppresses turbulence behind the head, and contributes to reducing fatigue over long periods of time. Tests were also conducted by professional riders at the Suzuka Circuit to verify its effectiveness in situations exceeding 300 km/h. This is an all-round spoiler that can be used in a wide range of situations, from touring to circuit driving.
Furthermore, it also serves as an air out duct to draw out hot air from the head with negative pressure.
Although it is a large spoiler, it is designed not to interfere with its “dodging performance” so that in the event of an unexpected impact, it will break and come off without getting caught.

<Inner side duct> guides fresh air taken in from the blow shutter towards the left and right temples where air tends to stagnate. By increasing the cooling effect on the upper part of the ear, which tends to get stuffy, the whole body is cooled down evenly.

Newly designed mouse shutter with improved operability and air intake
The new shape was designed with the concept of touring on any type of bike in mind, and to efficiently guide incoming air to the mouth without being affected by the riding position. In the case of an up handle, inhale without changing the direction of the wind flow. In the racing position, there are steps to make it easier to catch even more wind.
In addition, the switch conversion is a type that slides up and down on the main body. Even if you are wearing thick gloves, you can easily place your fingers on the switch, improving operability. It can be set to two levels, fully open and half open, depending on the conditions.

IP deflector
Nose deflector to keep the shield from fogging up
Just as the windows of a warm room fog up on a cold day, the helmet’s own breath can fog up the shield, impeding visibility. The nose deflector plays a role in preventing this. Prevents exhalation from being applied directly to the inner surface of the shield, reducing fogging of the shield.
It also protects the rider’s eyes by controlling the outside air flowing in through the mouse shutter towards the mouth and the shield so that it does not directly hit the eyes.
Since it is removable, please use it according to the climate and riding style.

Aero Flap
Aero parts reduce wind entrainment from the bottom of the helmet and exhibit a high rectification effect.
By reducing the unpleasant wind that enters the mouth from the bottom of the helmet, it rectifies the air around the neck while driving and supports the FFS function.
■FFS (Free Flow System)
The FFS function is a system that forcibly exhausts moist exhaled air that accumulates around the mouth to the outside of the helmet. The air around the mouth is forcibly discharged through the FFS exhaust ports provided on the left and right system pads, carried by the airflow at the bottom of the helmet. This reduces the fogging of the shield and the breathlessness characteristic of full-face masks.

ES chin cover V (optional)
Removable optional parts that enhance the effectiveness of the aero flap
ES Chin Cover V rectifies the air under the chin to improve quietness and make touring more comfortable. Airflow under the cheek pads (free flow system) is ensured, and negative pressure is exhausted from the air-through bypass on the side, reducing stuffy breath.
The rectifying effect on the underside of the helmet blocks wind from coming in from under the chin, while also improving quietness. Not only is it suitable for cold winters, but by exhausting the air from the mouse shutter to the rear, you can use it even in warm seasons without worrying about the heat. Furthermore, it has been treated to be water-repellent, so it won’t be stained by rainwater, making touring in the rain more comfortable.
