・ It seems that there are carbon clutches made by other companies that slip when cold, but ATS’s carbon clutch will not slip at all on highways and circuits as long as it is warmed up, even if it is a single clutch.
・Transmission force, operability, transmission protection performance, the improvement effect of shift feel, durability, and sales record, the ATS carbon clutch has uniqueness and high product value that other companies’ clutches do not have. In addition, with proper usage and maintenance, the twin-clutch has a long lifespan of more than 300,000 km, so it is excellent in cost performance.
・ There is only one thing to be aware of in order to maintain poor cutting, slippage, and long life. That is, don’t use a long half-clutch. Half-clutch operation for 1-2 seconds is not a problem if the engine speed is near idling, but at 2000 rpm or more, the half-clutch operation should be within 0.5 seconds. ・ It is not possible to use a carbon clutch in a drag race that uses a long half-clutch at the start, or in situations where long half-clutches and half-clutches are repeated in a short period of time (this operation is expressed as rubbing the clutch in drifting).
