What is brake hold?
After the engine starts, when the driver’s door is closed and the driver’s seat belt is fastened, pressing the brake hold switch will put the brakes into standby, and when the brakes come to a complete stop, such as when waiting at a traffic light, the brakes will be held (fixed). This feature allows you to take your foot off the brake pedal.

Unfortunately…
While waiting at a traffic light, you don’t have to keep stepping on the brake and can smoothly initiate a brake hold by turning on the accelerator. However, the function is canceled when you take off your seatbelt, open the door, or turn off the engine. It’s a pain to have to press the switch every time you turn it on, etc. It’s a shame because it’s such a convenient function.

*If you remove your seat belt or open the driver’s door while the brake is on hold, a warning message will appear and the parking brake will be forcibly applied. Additionally, if the vehicle is stopped using only the hold brake for more than 3 minutes, the parking brake will also be applied. (Equivalent to genuine specifications)
