Exclusively for vehicles equipped with Toyota’s advanced collision avoidance support package TSS (Toyota Safety Sense).
It has five functions: automatic door lock, automatic door unlock, sudden deceleration door unlock, automatic hazard when opening the door, and automatic hazard when shifting back.
The lock/unlock timing switch is switchable, but the hazard is ON/OFF switchable.
It is equipped with a re-lock function, preventing children and others from unlocking the car while it is in motion.

Function 1:
Have you ever had a scary experience when your child opened the door in a hurry even though the automatic lock function had not stopped yet? This will prevent your child from accidentally opening the door while waiting at a traffic light or being snatched.
You can switch to lock it by putting it on the D drive.

Function 2:
Automatic lock release function
If you put the shift lever in P, the lock will be released automatically! Allows passengers to get on and off smoothly.
It can be switched off by turning off the engine.

Function 3: Emergency automatic door lock release
Activates during sudden deceleration of approximately 40 km/h or more. (e.g., from 60km/h to 20km/h or less) Release the lock to prepare for an emergency and avoid being trapped when escaping.
*The time required to decelerate for regular operation varies depending on the vehicle model. Please note that it may not operate even when braking suddenly.
*This function cannot be turned off.

Function 4:
Emergency door unlock
*Activates when decelerating over 40 km. (60km/h to 20km/h or less)

Function 5:
Auto hazard function
– It’s a hassle to press the hazard button every time you park. When you shift into reverse, the hazard lights will flash automatically, so it’s easy!
・There are surprisingly many collisions and injuries when getting in and out of a car. If this device is installed, when you open the door, the hazard lights will automatically flash to alert those around you.

Re-lock function
– Even if children try to unlock the car while driving, it will be re-locked instantly, so you can rest assured.
・Even if you stop the vehicle and manually release the lock (e.g. when a passenger gets out of the vehicle) after the vehicle is automatically locked, the door will be locked again when you start driving.

If you look at the numbers in the correct direction and the lamp is on the “left side” of the switch lever,
the numbers will be set as shown below.
1 is the answer back function
2 is the hazard flashing function when
reversing 3 is the hazard when the door is open
4 is unlocked when the P shift or engine is OFF
5 is the speed or D shift, and the lock
lever turns ON when it is up and turns OFF when it is

If you look at the number in the correct direction and the light is on the “right” side of the switch lever, set it according to the instructions.
