Toyota Motor Corporation unveiled the new Hiace, a new series developed overseas, in the Philippines for the first time. After launching in the Philippines, the company will gradually launch the product in countries and regions centered on emerging countries by 2020

There are three variation of packages are available as  “Van”, “Commuter” and “Tourism” . Multiple seats and luggage compartment layouts were prepared according to the packages.

• Two types of body types are available: short / standard roof and long / high roof. The engine will be a 2.8-liter diesel engine “1GD” and a 3.5-liter gasoline engine “7GR.”
• 　The body size is 5265 x 1950 x 1990mm (length x width x height) with a short and standard roof, and the wheelbase is 3210mm. Compared to the current model, the overall length is 570mm, the overall width is 255mm, the overall height is 10mm, and the wheelbase is 640mm, each being enlarged.
• 　The long high roof is 5915 x 1950 x 2280mm (length x width x height) with a wheelbase of 3860mm. Compared with the current model, the overall length has been increased by 535 mm, the overall width has been expanded by 70 mm, and the overall height has been set to be 5 mm lower. The wheelbase has been expanded by 750mm.

The new Hiace for overseas uses a new dedicated platform and semi-bonnet to significantly improve basic performance and comfort, and achieves the highest level of safety in the class equivalent to Euro NCAP5
