That’s why Arai has pursued a smooth shape that easily evades impacts and a strong cap body. Until now, the shield mounting part required a slight step in order to open and close. In order to further improve the performance of deflecting impacts, we have lowered the shield mounting part by 24mm using the proven Snell standard test line as a guide, creating a smoother form on the side of the helmet’s head.

Diffuser Type12
New shape based on feedback from actual MOTO-GP races.
The rear part of the diffuser system has been extended by approximately 20mm, and both sides have been narrowed down to a low shape, which further reduces rear turbulence at high speeds due to the evolution of the spoiler function combined with variable aero fins. Intake efficiency is increased by 19% compared to diffuser Type 10 (RX-7 RR5). The latest diffuser system combines quietness and operability with a larger switch that allows you to adjust the amount of air intake when fully opened or partially opened with reliable operation, and improved soundproofing and rainproof performance when fully closed.

AR Spoiler
Reduces fatigue during high-speed driving and also serves as air-out ventilation
Based on the GT spoiler of <Astro GX>, the duct has been improved to be suitable for an adventure model. In order to improve head stability and aerodynamics at high speeds, the angle is adjusted to suit the adventure bike position, suppressing turbulence behind the head and contributing to reducing fatigue during long rides.
Furthermore, it also serves as an air-out duct to draw out hot air from the head with negative pressure and also functions as a goggle band stopper when attaching goggles. This is a specially designed spoiler that will come off without getting caught when an impact is applied, and will not interfere with the “dodging performance” of the round and smooth shell shape.

TX-V Visor
Adopts VAS system to simplify style changes
In adopting the front logo duct, a new type of visor was designed exclusively for more efficient ventilation performance. It has a wide air-through path that reduces wind resistance when driving at high speeds and has undergone numerous actual driving tests to make it more resistant to vibrations and more comfortable when driving at high speeds.
Thanks to the advanced VAS-A shield system, changing to a visor-less style is possible with just one screw, making it possible to smoothly change the style without the need for optional parts.

TX-V mouse shutter
Evolved into a large-capacity air-in, reducing breathlessness
The opening area has been increased by 200% compared to <Tour Cross 3>. In the Tour Cross 3, mesh parts were placed on the side of the mouse shutter, but technological advances in the strength of the cap body have made it possible to expand the opening area, ensuring sufficient air inflow with just the mouse shutter. It is now possible. What’s more, it also reduces the weight of the entire helmet, contributing to reducing rider fatigue.
Furthermore, in conjunction with the inner shutter, air-in can be controlled freely.
When both the outer and inner are opened, outside air is guided straight to the mouth (induction mode). Open the outer and close only the inner to enter <defrost mode>. Outside air is blown onto the shield surface from the shield defroster to reduce the fogging of the shield.
In addition, it has been newly designed so that even if it is damaged during intense off-road driving, the user can repair it with new parts. It also improves maintainability.

VA nose deflector
A specially designed nose deflector is designed to be used with goggles.
Just as the windows of a warm room fog up on a cold day, the helmet’s own breath can fog up the shield, impeding visibility. The nose deflector plays a role in preventing this. Prevents exhalation from being applied directly to the inner surface of the shield, reducing fogging of the shield. It also protects the rider’s eyes by controlling the outside air flowing in through the mouse shutter towards the mouth and the shield so that it does not directly hit the eyes. Since it is removable, please use it according to the climate and riding style.

By reducing the unpleasant wind that enters the mouth from the bottom of the helmet, it rectifies the air around the neck while driving and supports the FFS function.

The FFS function is a system that forcibly exhausts moist exhaled air that accumulates around the mouth to the outside of the helmet. The air around the mouth is forcibly discharged through the FFS exhaust ports provided on the left and right system pads, carried by the airflow at the bottom of the helmet. This reduces the fogging of the shield and the breathlessness characteristic of full-face masks.

The rectifying effect on the underside of the helmet blocks wind from coming in from under the chin, while also improving quietness. Not only is it suitable for cold winters, but by exhausting the air from the mouse shutter to the rear, you can use it even in warm seasons without worrying about the heat. Furthermore, it has been treated with a water-repellent finish, so it won’t be stained by rainwater, making touring in the rain more comfortable.
